This year Groovin the Moo festival took a big leap in production from the previous years we have supplied the audio. The festival promoters had asked how they might be able to increase the production across the board without too large an infrastructure change.
This year’s festival comprised of Silverchair, Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Tegan and Sara, Grinspoon and many more and with such a large number of acts the promoter was keen to upgrade the system and get some consistency throughout the festivals.
The festival runs over 3 weekends with some challenging overnighters. The Bendigo to Townsville overnighter was by far one of the longest distances to travel. The following weekend we had Maitland to Canberra.
JAS supplied 2 separate dual stage V-Dosc systems with 2 separate crews. Each system fitted nicely into one pantec and off we went. All on time and no rain!
Bruce Johnston helped out as the festival production manager with Natalie Earles as the production assistant. James Leydon also was the advance production manager for the Townsville and Canberra sites.
Johnston Audio supplied a complete turnkey production management service to the festival.
